TAPING TECHNIQUES

kinesiology-tape-body.jpg

Used alongside other treatment modalities, taping techniques both rigid and elastic or kinesiology, is a supportive tool in injury management that can aid recovery and improve function. It can support, protect, and stabilize muscles and joints during recovery or physical activity. It’s commonly applied in sports and rehabilitation settings to reduce pain, prevent further injury, and allow safe movement while healing.

SPORTS REHABILITATION

Sport injury rehab1.jpg

Where injury recovery and performance training combine, with the aim of getting individuals back to their sport at the same—or higher—level of function safely. Rehabilitation programs are tailored to the individual and typically progress through stages—from reducing pain and inflammation, to rebuilding strength, flexibility, balance, and finally sport-specific skills.

NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION

Neurological rehabilitation is a specialized area of healthcare focused on helping people recover function, independence, and quality of life after damage to the nervous system. This damage can come from conditions like Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Traumatic brain injury, or Spinal cord injury.

Rehabilitation is usually done by a  multidisciplinary team and physiotherapy is a part of that team.

ORTHOPAEDIC REHABILITATION

With the main goal of helping people return to daily activities, work, or sport safely and efficiently, rehabilitation focuses on restoring movement, strength, and function after injuries or conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system—bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles, such as after fractures, joint replacements, ligament tears, or surgeries. Rehabilitation programs are tailored to the individual and often progress in phases.
